Recipients of these fraudulent postcards are urged to be vigilant. The scam typically involves receiving a postcard bearing the following details:
Indicia:
- FIRST-CLASS MAIL
- PRESORTED
- US POSTAGE PAID
- DAYTONA BCH FL
- PERMIT NO. 447
Body of Postcard:
- Addressee Name,
- Urgent request to call a specified number regarding an important matter concerning the mortgage.
- Mortgage ID#: XXXX-XXX-XXX
Disclosure:
- All information provided by H.W.C., 888-405-0963. Not affiliated with, sponsored by, and loan information not provided by First Federal Savings Bank (or Home Building Savings Bank).
