Mortgage Protection Postcard Scam

It has come to our attention that a malicious scam has been targeting recipients of mortgage and/or home equity loans, falsely claiming affiliation with our institution. We want to assure you that this scam is not sanctioned by or affiliated with us.

Recognizing the Scam:

Recipients of these fraudulent postcards are urged to be vigilant. The scam typically involves receiving a postcard bearing the following details:

Indicia:
  • FIRST-CLASS MAIL
  • PRESORTED
  • US POSTAGE PAID
  • DAYTONA BCH FL
  • PERMIT NO. 447
Body of Postcard:
  • Addressee Name,
  • Urgent request to call a specified number regarding an important matter concerning the mortgage.
  • Mortgage ID#: XXXX-XXX-XXX
Disclosure:
  • All information provided by H.W.C., 888-405-0963. Not affiliated with, sponsored by, and loan information not provided by First Federal Savings Bank (or Home Building Savings Bank).
What to Do If You Receive Such a Postcard:

If you receive one of these postcards, please take the following actions:
